Take your stinking paws off me, you damned dirty remake!

I'm reserving judgement on 'Rise of the Planet of the Apes' until I get a chance to see it, but I don't hold out much hope. I dislike the Tim Burton effort, and I've not been won over by the Rise trailer , either . Perhaps I'm just drowning in nostalgia, but the original 1968 classic and it's sequels will always be my 'Planet of the Apes'. The new film looks like an angry chimp flick, with little to offer outside of spectacle and bombast. All the original films had something to 'say', and characters (on both sides!)...Something that seems to be lacking in the re-boots. But, we shall see.
